Two-time LPGA major winner Brittany Lincicome will become just the fifth woman to play in a PGA Tour event during next month’s 2018 Barbasol Championship in Kentucky.
Lincicome will compete on a sponsor exemption during the tournament from July 16-22 at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, just outside Lexington.
The 32-year-old has been on the LPGA Tour since 2005, and most recently won both the 2017 and 2018 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.
Golfweek reported that Perio Inc. President and CEO Tom Murray approached Lincicome with the idea in recent weeks. She was the first professional athlete signed by Perio, which is the parent company of both Barbasol and Pure Silk, back…
