The Tampa Bay Lightning took care of one of their objectives Monday, agreeing to a seven-year, $35 million contract with forward Tyler Johnson.

Johnson played in 66 games, recorded 19 goals and 26 assists to go along with 28 penalty minutes. He was tied for third on the Lightning in goals and fifth in points.

Johnson was also third on the team in power-play goals with six and tied for fifth with three game-winning tallies.

He has played in 308 career NHL games, all with Tampa Bay over the past five seasons, and has 89 goals and 122 assists to go along with 102 penalty minutes.

Now the Lightning will focus on signing Ondrej Palat. Palat signed a three-year, $10 million contract before to the 2014-15 season and has ranked in the top 10 in points per 60 minutes and the top five in assists per 60 minutes.
